ASUS G73SW-A1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop (Black)

First things first. This is a revised version of Sandy Bridge chip-set. For those of you who care about the memory you need not worry about purchasing this notebook.

I bought this laptop as a replacement for my old HP G60. I was thinking of buying a new computer for a while, but never looked deeply into it. I originally wanted to build a custom PC and I never thought that could have a laptop with a desktop computer. That is, until I saw this machine. This team is an amazing piece of hardware that can remain cold to the touch after hours of operation. I never thought I could find a laptop this powerful, much less under $ 1800.

PROS:
Has the new i7 Sandy Bridge, which can rip through any task you throw at it.
The Nvidia GTX 460M with 1.5 GB of GDDR5 memory. Windows tells me that this card has a total memory of 4GB
Great speakers for a laptop. I never heard a sound as coming from a laptop.
The screen to the extent I can say is about the same contrast as my 40-inch LED TV.
It can produce a 3D TV 3D via HDMI
The keyboard has a great feel and the backlight looks great every time I see it
The finish is great for playing and shows fingerprints.
This team has by far the best cooling I've seen in a laptop. He is cooler than my old G60 to close if it is sitting on a flat surface and burning hands.

CONS:
Honestly I have no problem you can find. Only a few problems which I am sure that most people often experience. After installing antivirus Virpi I have a BSOD and had to do a system restore to correct. However, after the system restore I had to uninstall the drivers for the backlit keyboard and reinstall, to work again. And this kit comes with pre-installed Google Chrome. That would not open or uninstall. I had to install a new copy of chrome to make it work and now in my Add / Remove programs that have two copies of Google Chrome.

Overall, this laptop far exceeds my expectations for what a laptop can do. Most desktop computers have difficulty keeping up with him. If you're in the market for a desktop replacement I can not honestly think of a better way to spend $ 1800.
